Out in Waltham on a beautiful saturday painting with Chalew. I really need some stanley training. I dont love painting the landscape. But awww wallieface, look at you! p.s. dear Sunshine, come back.
I made vegan strawberry cupcakes. they were very dense and tasted too healthy for cupcakes. they were still delicious though. That is why we discovered a new name for them, so no future pressure when I make my strawberry MUFFCAKES. also, nothing will top the rainbow cookies i made last week for passover seder with the BILLLLAAAAAAAs.
We took a Senior class trip to NYC. Saw some gallery shows, talk to some people, had a studio visit with Tom Sachs, he is kind of a big deal, check out his website (click on his name). He is also kind of beautifully witty and creative and such a fun guy to talk to. Thanks for having us! Oh! below. Stella, Chalew, Sam. Chelsea.
Went to the book bindings show at Morgan Library. It was amazing. Got my excited to make a drawing book. Now I just need the time. I am using this as part of my thesis for an Undergraduate Research Grant that I got.
Another random baked good addition. I made red onion, olive and dill bread. It was kind of delicious.
This is Francesca Dimatteo, also another incredible artist who we had the privledge of meeting with. She had a painting up at the Rose Art Museum this spring for the Master of Reality show, curated by my painting professor, Joe Wardwell. She spoke about her painting, infront of her painting, at the museum, just to our class, and then came back to our studios and did studio visits with us. She was very polished and brilliant and had beautiful red lips and quite the do. and most importantly, her painting was one of my favorites in the show.
